Michael Merced is a licensed Real Estate Broker and is a member of the Eldorrado Group. Mike is an experienced General Contractor having worked in the remodeling business for over 19 years. As a General Contractor, Mike built several custom homes from the ground up with very satisfied customers. For many years, his expertise and integrity in construction, allotted him the opportunity to be the lead overseer of all construction projects for the Hispanic Housing Development Corporation, founded in 1975, as a non-for-profit organization to help create affordable housing in Chicago’s Latino neighborhoods and currently has a 190-person staff.
Mike’s love of contracting and building led him to believe that a good parallel industry would be real estate. Thus he opted to join a boutique real estate firm led by an Award Winning Managing Broker to further enhance his knowledge and understanding of the industry. Being in the Eldorrado Group allows him to knowingly follow in the footsteps of a company led by a Christian, and the Brokerage firm is known collectively for its ethics, honesty, integrity and character.
Mike is bi-lingual with fluency in Spanish. A native 2nd generation Chicagoan, he lived in the Caribbean for 7 years. Mike is also a prolific and talented musician and percussionist playing in settings of up to 40,000 people. Mike is a current member of the Chicago Association of Realtors, the Illinois Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
Mike resides in Norwood Park on the Northwest side of Chicago with his wife and daughter.
