Fuller Park, located on the south side, is named for Melville Weston Fuller, who was the Chief Justice of the United States between 1888 and 1910.

The community of Fuller Park is also home to Eden Place Nature Center, which is an environmental education center with the mission of educating communities of color on urban ecology. The nature center is located off of 43rd & Stewart, and is run by Fuller Park Community Development. The center is 3.5 acres and is located on what was once a brownfield.

Transportation

CTA Red Line Trains provide commuter trains through the Fuller Park neighborhood and connect to all the other “L” Trains in Chicago. The 47th Street Red Line Train Station is located in the heart of Fuller Park and near many bus routes that connect right outside the station door.
